Ishita Dutta: Any Project of Balaji Has a Lot of Expectations From The People

Ekta Kapoor is all set to launch Bepanah Pyaar, a romantic thriller on Colors TV on 3rd June. The show will feature Pearl V Puri, Ishita Dutta and Aparna Dixit in the lead roles. It follows the reincarnation plot of Kratika Sengar and Ssharad Malhotra starrer Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki. Actress Ishita Dutta who is popular for essaying strong roles in shows like Ek Ghar Banaunga, Rishton Ka Saudagar received critical appreciation for her recent film Blank. Ishita will be seen romancing the Naagin 3 actor, Pearl in the show. We got in touch with Ishita to know about this show and several other aspects revolving around it.

Here are the excerpts from the interaction that we had with her:

Please tell us something about your character in Bepanah Pyaar

My character’s name is Pragati and she is today’s girl, very much like me so I can relate to her. She is independent, wants to work hard, she is recently graduated and has that energy and enthusiasm to do something to prove herself. She loves her father hugely and wants to do a lot for him. At the same time, she is very clumsy so she ends up making these small mistakes. She has her own world of issues which she tries to sort it. She is a cute and lovable character in the entire set up where all other characters are very intense. She is completely different than all.

How did you prepare for this role? Any special preparations?

Nothing special as such but we did get a lot of briefings and I feel once you start shooting, the set is the right place to explore. Because the director and the creatives are there to correct you. We had certain sessions with the director where we sat with our director and had a small workshop. But mostly on the set, I got the gist of what exactly they wanted. 

The show has a constant comparison from Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, do you feel any pressure to maintain the benchmark that it set?

A lot of people feel that this show is the second part of Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki but this is a completely different show. So initially, when it was called Kasam, people thought it had something to do with it, but having said that, yes, any project of Balaji has a lot of expectations from the people. We already have so many fans even before the first episode is out, I keep getting so many messages from people on my social media. I feel the pressure but in a good way and I am working harder.I think all of us are working harder because since it’s a thriller people have a lot of expectations from us, and the level has already gone higher. So we are trying hard to make something that the audiences are going to love.

Lastly, a message for your fans?

I want to give them my love and I am so happy to see their excitement for the show, it makes me super excited. This is what actors look for to get acknowledgement and love from the audience. I know y’all are going to watch our show but for all those who are reading this and don’t know about the show, Bepanah Pyaarr is a romantic thriller and you must watch it. It starts from 3rd of June, and I am sure y’all are gonna love it.
