For a long time now, Irrfan Khan has been keeping unwell. The trailer of his upcoming film, "Blackmail" was also cancelled because of his ill health.

However, all this while, it was unclear as to what has happened with the actor. But, today, in a heart-wrenching note, Irrfan has opened up and shared that he has been fighting a rare disease and will come out and talk about it after 10 days when he gets back all the reports and a proper diagnosis for his disease.

He and his team has also requested everyone to not speculate anything and give the family their personal space while they deal with this sudden and unfortunate illness.

Here's what Irrfan Khan has penned down:

"Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life shaking you up. The last 15 days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease.

I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will. My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don't speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week - 10 days, when further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me."

On the other hand, Irrfan's team has also shared a note about the actor's ill health.

"A little note and update on Irrfan Khan's health for which he has been out from work for past two weeks.

Please do bear with us during this time and request everyone verify any facts and information.

Would truly appreciate if clarifications, if needed be asked through us. Also - at this point of time, this is all the information we have. And we promise to keep you updated as we have clarity."
