India's Best Dancer winner Tiger Pop: Geeta maa told me have the strength to uphold the trophy

Tiger Pop lifted the winning trophy of India's Best Dancer 2020 and he sure has sent all his fans in a frenzy. His choreographer Vartik and Tiger himself, have managed to win hearts with their performance throughout the show and we recently go in touch with him on the win.

What was the winning moment for you like?

I can't express in words just what was that moment, I had shut my eyes and I was just praying because I don't know if I will ever get this chance or a platform again and when the results were announced, I felt like the world around me was spinning as everyone rushed to me to hug me and my mom was still trying to process things, and I am very thankful for everything. When I was handed over the trophy, my mom told me how 'my son showed me a dream and he fulfiled it' and with that, she is super happy.

What plans do you have with the price money and who will you give the first ride in the car to?

I want to buy my mother a house, even if it is small, it'll be sweet home for all of us. I will take my mother on a ride, wherever she says, I will take her there. It was my dream to own a car and drive it with the windows down, songs playing, and now I have that dream too.

Is there something someone said that will stay with you forever?

Everyone has given me a lot of love, Geeta maa met me after winning the trophy and she said ''yeh trophy ka wazan uthane ki taakat mere hath me hona chahiye aur iska maan rakhu'' and make everyone proud and go to a bigger stage.

Tell us a little about your journey. What plans do you have for the future?

If I were to speak the truth, when I was made the first finalist, I did get a lot of pressure and there was a time when I started doing new things and I was worried about what will I do and how I'd be questioned if a single thing goes wrong and they will wonder as to how come he is doing this, even though he is a finalist.

My plan is to work harder and the stage that has made me, I hope I will get a chance to fulfill someone else's dream on the show as a choreographer. I also have a dream to represent India at an international level, and I will work really hard and you will be seeing a lot of videos coming up soon as well.

What was Vartika's reaction to your win?

Vartika told me with a big heart that she really likes my dance and she also said how don't change and keep doing what you are doing. I also love how two people get along so well and we get each other, she always allowed me to do what I want and she corrected me where there was a need to correct me, and that I think is the best thing because if I came with my 'A B C' of dancing, I will go to the 'Z' purely on my own.
