In every show one builds a special connection; in YRKKH , I’ve that bond with Shivangi Joshi: Ashita Dhawan

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (YRKKH) has always managed to be in the headlines. The show is speculated to head towards a major leap. Confirmation and clarity regarding the same are still not out. The current track of the show revolves around Kartik and Sirat’s wedding preparations. Soon, actress Ashita Dhawan who played the character of Sirat’s mother Sheela will make a comeback in the show. Sheela’s re-entry is expected to create more spice and drama in the show.

India Forums got in touch with Ashita and asked her about her return in the show. The actress quipped, “Well, I was elated to be back on the show. When I received the call, I was available and thought to grab the opportunity. In every show, an actor builds a special connection with at least one person; in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, I share that kind of connect with Shivangi. We couldn’t meet with each other for a while since she shoots for long hours. When Shivangi learned about my comeback, she was very happy and excited. We’re making the most of the time that we’ve got to spend on the sets”.

We asked Ashita about how did her bond with Shivangi grew so thick, she added, “Honestly, it was very organic. When we were catching up with each other, we realized that we share a lot of things in common. We both are born in the month of May. Our mothers share same name- Sonu. We also realized that we’re alike in a lot of mannerisms as well, so we connected better. She is a wonderful person”.

Talking about the feedback from fans, Ashita said, “I’m am amazed with the kind of love that they’re showering on me. I posted a picture on social media where I gave a little glimpse of Sheela and the fans started pouring so much love and affection that I was overwhelmed. I thought this kind of love was only given to the leads of the show. The YRKKH fandom is quite loyal”.

We asked her on her feelings about returning to Rajan Shahi’s show, she said, “Rajan sir is my mentor and if he calls me even for one day shoot, I would happily agree. Anything for him as his show has given me a lot of fame. The entire production crew including spot, hair and make-up departments have been extremely warm and supportive, I feel very comfortable on the sets. The production team has umpteen trust on me and they know that I would ace my part. This level of trust is quite motivating. I connect with them very well. The Directors were Ads during ‘Bidaai’ days, so I know them since then and it just feels like returning to home”.
