Sharing a glimpse of the family event on social media, the director posted a series of photographs and a video on his official Instagram account. The cake-cutting ceremony featured a unique touch: all attendees wore matching T-shirts emblazoned with the image of the director's mother.

Amidst the recent headlines concerning Pahalgam due to a tragic terror attack that resulted in the loss of at least 26 lives.

Imtiaz Ali has also been focusing on his professional endeavors. He recently revealed his upcoming project, which will feature Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari.

According to reports, this untitled drama is slated to begin filming by August of this year, with a planned theatrical release on Baisakhi in 2026.

Regarding his next project, Ali shared a statement, ‘Tum mere paas hote ho goya, Jab koi doosra nahin hota’ (‘You are with me, however, When there is no one else’) -Momin. Can love really be lost? Can home be taken away from someone’s heart?

In related news, Ali recently voiced his support for Diljit amid the controversy surrounding his film "Sardaar Ji 3," which features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.

He clarified that the Punjabi actor and singer was not involved in the casting process for "Sardaar Ji 3." I don’t know the details, but casting someone isn’t the decision of the actor. I don’t know how it went, but I know that uske andar desh prem bahut zyada hai (He loves his country too much).
