I was very convinced when Vipul Shah narrated the story - Raj Babbar

Eminent actor and a famous politician Raj Babbar will be seen after a long time on screen in the new show Pukaar -The Call For Hero. While he has given a power packed performance in many films, he will be seen on the screen for the very first in a prominent role. 

Here is Raj Babbar talking about his new show Pukaar...

What was the reason behind taking up this project? He says, "I was quite convinced when Vipul Amrutlal Shah narrated the story to me. My role in the show is very appealing and the storyline is very intriguing. I was planning to do Television with a strong role and good people and when I came across this show there was no second thought in grabbing it."

Talking about his character he says, "This show portrays a beautiful relationship between a son and father which is the USP of this show. The audience will not understand whether the son is right or the father."

Raj plays the role of a disciplined father who follows some principles and wants others to follow in real life too. When asked him whether does he relate to the character or not he says, "It is difficult to say whether I relate to the character or not  because in real life you may find such people or you may have gone through such emotions. I cannot say that the story is different from real life but it relates to me in some or the other way so it becomes more comfortable."

When asked about the bonding with the co-stars he says, "Its their kindness that they are appreciating me and feeling obliged to work with me but I feel they all are amazing actors then be it Rannvijay Singh or Adah Sharma or Shubhangi Latkar. They have proved themselves in the field of cinema, television or theater.

"I have not done television more and never done a full fledged role in television. This is the  first time that I am essaying a full fledged role on television and I happy and excited of this opportunity," he ends talking about working in TV in a prominent role.
