Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia is currently portraying the character of Seher in the show Choti Sarrdaarni. It's her debut show and in a short span of time, she has garnered a lot of love and fans. Here, she exclusively spoke to India Forums about her fan moments and experiences. 

Narrate your fan experiences over the years.

It is always very warm and sweet. I remember this one time when I was outside my society leaving for work, a girl was on her way to school; she ran into me and just couldn’t stop crying. That was one very heart touching moment. ?One such moment was at the red light when a few kids selling dustbin bags went crazy with excitement. I ended up buying the entire lot of bags. 

Are you comfortable letting fans click selfies with you when you are in public? What you have to say about this selfie obsession?

I’m absolutely comfortable with fans clicking selfies. It’s a reflection of their love and appreciation.

Actors love the adulation but sometimes fans only irritate the actor. Comment.

We all are human beings and live a normal life, which sometimes fans tend to forget. I remember I was shooting in Kashmir, and I was on a call and I had tears rolling down over something. There was this one fan who kept pestering me for a picture amidst that call. I just wish that our viewers should not lose their sensitivity in such situations. I, however, finished my call and gave the selfie. 

What role do fans play in an actor's life?

I believe fans play a very important and crucial part of an actor's journey. We are because of our audiences and viewers. If people like what they see, only then shall it sell. 

Any weird experience with a fan.

I was in a quandary about feeling overwhelmed or weird. There was a time when I flew to Chandigarh for an event. A fan got a picture clicked with me at the airport upon my arrival. 8 hours later, when I was back at the airport, he was still there waiting because the picture didn’t come to clear the first time. 

Don't you think that sometimes fans go overboard to do things for their favorites?

Well, I believe love has no bounds, does it? 

Do you believe that you have a responsibility towards your fans?

Most definitely. When one holds the power to influence people, it’s important that we use it for the right reasons and in the right way.
