I was depressed because of the trolling; later learned to ignore: Splitsvilla X3 winner Aditi Rajput

MTV Splitsvilla X3 concluded with Aditi Rajput and Jay Dudhane being declared as the winner. The show was quite interesting and attracted a huge amount of audience. While Jay Dudhane is locked inside the Bigg Boss Marathi house, India Forums got in touch with Aditi Rajput who spoke at length about winning the show, bond with co-contestants, handling hatred on social media and much more. Read the excerpts of the interview below.

Tell us about your journey in the show.

I had an amazing journey in the show. Honestly, I didn’t think about winning the show. I was trying to crack Splitsvilla auditions for six years. So, bagging the show this year was in itself a huge achievement, winning the same is like cherry on the cake. I met Rannvijay Sir and Sunny ma’am which was an amazing experience and also made some great friends. My journey has been quite fulfilling.

You had a major tiff with Nikita Bhamidipati. Tell us about it.

During our quarantine period, Nikita and I were located in opposite rooms and gelled along really well. She used to come into my room and we had a great bond. But I came to know that she told some other girl that I’m bisexual. I don’t know what made her feel like that. I didn’t do anything to her to feel like that. I wanted to clear it out with her on a mutual level but after the first task, things between us got ugly and my anger burst out on her. I’m not in touch with her. I think she is not trustworthy.

People call the season bias and even say that Jay-Aditi didn’t deserve to win. Your take on the same.

Well, I feel luck favored us. For a matter of fact, the opposite team had MTV faces, why would the channel support us and not them? As far as calling us undeserving is concerned, I believe we have performed very well, we have survived. We were about to get dumped but Nikhil’s calculative move saved us. Apart from that, we’ve really worked hard and performed well.

How do you deal with hatred and trolling on social media?

Initially, I was quite affected. For almost two weeks, I was depressed looking at the amount of trolls and hatred that came my way. Post that, I remembered what Sunny and Rannvijay told us about handing the trolls. Sunny ma’am gets immense amount of hatred, but she choose to ignore. She told me that your haters would troll you but will come to click a picture with you when they spot you. These things really motivated me and then I decided to avoid the negativity.

What’s next post winning the show?

Well, winning Splitsvilla is a combined effort of Jay and me. I want to do Roadies and win the show all on my credit and merit. I am preparing for that. Let’s see if it works out.
