Navratri has begun. This festival is celebrated with sheer enthusiasm in our nation. The festival complies nine nights of worship towards Goddess Durga and her nine avatars. It concludes on the tenth day as devotees feed young girls as they’re considered as symbol of Maa Durga.

Amidst the festivities, many devotees also observe fast during this period and takes out time for worshiping the Goddess Durga as much as they can.

India Forums got in touch with actress Parul Chaudhary who plays the character of Karishma Oberoi in Zee TV show ‘Bhagya Lakshmi’. Parul comes across as a person who follows the rituals around Navratri quite obdiently. When asked about her thoughts on the festival, the actress quipped, “Navratri is all about Durga Pooja, Garba, Dandia, Ram Leela and so many other wonderful things that happen around Navratri. I am hoping and praying that everything gets better soon, and everyone can go and play Garba and Dandia with their loved ones”.

She added, “Durga Mata is going to be coming soon and I will be visiting all the pandals and have some amazing ‘Prashad’ whenever I get time from my busy schedule. My mother also keeps 9 days of pooja at home and then makes some amazing ‘black chana sabzi, puri and halwa’ as Prashad on Ashtami. I am looking forward to this festival and I hope that it brings a lot of happiness and positivity in everyone’s life.”
