“I felt helpless & powerless”, says Preity Zinta as her mother, brother battled COVID-19 for 3 weeks

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is finally relieved as her family has tested negative for COVID-19 after three long weeks. Her mother, brother, his wife and kids had tested positive but have now battled the virus.

Sharing the same on social media, Preity shared a happy picture with her mother and brother. She also penned a note of gratitude and also warned others of the COVID-19 scare.

She wrote, “Three weeks ago my Mom, brother, his wife, kids & my uncle all tested positive for Covid 19. Suddenly terms like ventilators, ICU and oxygen machines took a new meaning”.

She also added, “I felt helpless & powerless here in America, far away as he battled it out in the hospital. I’m so grateful to the almighty and to all those wonderful doctors & nurses that worked tireless to take care of them ??...For all of you who don’t take Covid seriously please be warned that this can become dangerous overnight so please take care, wear a mask & practice social distancing”.

Preity concluded that now she can stop stressing as her family is finally recovered and doing well. “Today, after hearing that they have all tested negative I can finally fall asleep & stop stressing. Finally the New Year feels like a Happy New year” she wrote.

Recently, Preity had shared some pictures with her husband Gene Goodenough enjoying the snowfall. The couple had got married in a Hindu wedding ceremony in Los Angeles on February 28, 2016 after dating for a long time.
