I don’t burn bridges: Bigg Boss 16 contestant Tina Datta on feud with Sreejita De

Bigg Boss 16 is back and the lineup of contestants has left the fans curious and they can’t wait for the show to begin.

One of the most talked about contestants this season is undoubtedly Tina Datta. Tina rose to fame with Colors’ show ‘Uttaran’ and is still known for her phenomenal portrayal of ‘Iccha’. The actress got the offer of being a part of the show for quite some years now and after staying away from the show for a couple of seasons, Tina has finally taken up the challenge of being a part of the controversial show.

India Forums got in touch with Tina Datta and asked her what made her finally say a ‘yes’ to the show. Tina quipped, “I believe the fear of the show is what really derived me to accept the offer. In the past, I had extreme fear of snakes but I took up ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and did stunts with snakes and I feel I did a good job at it and now I feel the same can happen with Bigg Boss as well. I believe I’m a survivor and will take this show as a challenge”.

When asked about his style statement inside the house, Tina added, “Well, I always believe in putting comfort as my priority. I can’t roam around in my pajamas and hence whatever I chose to wear should be comfy. I have a gigantic team and I’m sure they’re going to do an amazing job at styling me, keeping in mind my preferences”.

Talking about staying away from home and family, Tina said, “I kid you not, there were melodramatic scenes at my house while I was about to leave for the show. My mom was teary-eyed and said that since earlier it was distance from Kolkata to Bombay, they’d manage and then there were of course phone-calls and video-calls but now in the case of Bigg Boss everything will be restricted. I calmed her down saying that they will be able to see me daily. However, it will be difficult for me to stay away from them without having a check on them. Having said that, my parents know that I’m a fighter and I’ll survive the show”.

Across seasons the rivalry between two actresses has been loved by all. From Gauahar Khan- Tanisha Mukherjee, Hina Khan- Shilpa Shinde, Rashami Desai- Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rubina Dilaik- Jasmin Bhasin and Tejasswi Prakash- Shamita Shetty all the rivalries have given a lot of spice to the fans and they look forward for more of such controversies. Interestingly, Tina Datta’s friend turned foe Sreejita De will also be a part of the show and when asked about the same, Tina said, “Well, I’m not someone who burns bridges with people. I don’t want to talk about what conspired between us because that’s outside the show. Now that I’m going inside the house and she’s also a part of the show, I will not bring up the past incidents. She is a sweet girl”.
