Hrithik Roshan opens up on 'Vikram Vedha's failure

Amongst few other box office 2022 failures, Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Vikram Vedha’ also couldn’t live up to the expectations and performed poorly at the box office when it released in September this year. Hrithik received accolades for his work in this action thriller, but he recently addressed the movie's box office performance.

Speaking about the disappointing performance of "Vikram Vedha," Hrithik said to Galatta Plus, "Of course, there are different parts of me that are conflicted about what I should learn from this. I think it'll shine the light on me much later, but right now I know that it is not, perhaps, something that people like to see me do."  He continued by discussing the demands of his followers.

The Krrish actor remarked, "Perhaps I am taking myself too seriously. I might not be permitted to take on parts where I'm not satisfying the demands of my fans, who want to see me in a particular movie, against a particular setting, or in a certain style. If I decide to do those types of movies, I must approach them differently than I would tackle other projects – monetarily, financially, and cost-wise. These are the lessons you acquire. When I read something deserving, I might not hesitate to accept a picture that does not appeal to the star's fans."

The Koi Mil Gaya actor also stated that ‘Vikram Vedha’ didn’t have the ‘flamboyance of War’, the ‘heart of Super 30’ and called it a cerebral, intellectual film.

Talking about the film, 'Vikram Vedha,' directed by Pushkar-Gayatri, was a Hindi remake of their 2017 Tamil film, starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. While the Tamil version of 'Vikram Vedha' was a huge success, the Hindi version only earned Rs 79.53 crore nett.
