For a long time now, there have been rumors about Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone coming together for the first time in the 500 Crore ambitious Ramayana project. However, there has been no official confirmation about the same.

Since the time, the big announcement about this huge project was made in July, and soon after the film's team revealed that the cast would be pan-Indian with actors from across the many film industries of the country, fans and netizens have been going crazy and suggesting the makers with possible cast that might fit the role of Ram and Sita, with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone pairing topping the trends. Another superstar, whom the audience wants to see in the three part Ramayana is Prabhas.

Recently, while promoting his upcoming film Chhichhore, director Nitesh Tiwary, who will be jointly directing the trilogy along with Ravi Udyawar was quizzed about the same. To this, he neither denied nor confirmed about Hrithik- Deepika being considered for the project. He simply asked back, "It's a rumour, isn't it?"

Further when he was probed about the same, he said, "I have not yet started thinking about the cast yet. First we are trying to get it right on papers, with our executions, and with our thought process and everything. We are still trying to get there, baaki baate we'll start with later."

A few reports suggests that the movie will be will be a live-action trilogy and will be releasing in Tamil and Telugu apart from Hindi and that it is going to be shot in 3D.

The ambitious Ramayana project already has several big names attached to produce - ex-Phantom Films founder Madhu Mantena, Telugu super-producer Allu Aravind and Prime Focus studios founder Namit Malhotra. The budget is a whopping Rs. 500 crore and the three-part film will be shot in 3D and in multiple languages - Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Currently in development and pre-production, the project aims to begin filming next year.
