In the year 2011 Tellydom saw famous but new faces to the television industry. They entered mostly as respected judges and hosts of various shows. Some made their mark, but some really had a tough time pleasing the audience.

Madhuri Dixit: The lady with the unbeatable smile debuted as the judge of celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 - Dancing with the Stars. The Indian audience saw the lady dance on her popular numbers during the launch of the show and there's no need to mention, people went crazy. She also proved to be one of the sweetest judges on Indian television.
Dharmendra Singh Deol: The actor was playful and energetic in India's Got Talent 3 and gave a boost for the performers. The youth in the old man was something that people could not afford to miss. Let us hope to see more of this actor's show on television.
Mallika Sherawat: People always wondered why the actress was chosen to judge a dance reality show like Chak Dhoom Dhoom 2 - Team Challenge when she herself would have to participate in one to learn some tips on dance. Well, seems like the makers heard some prayers as the actress was replaced soon after the launch of the show wherein the vivacious Urmila Matondkar steeped into her shoes.
Marzi Pestonji and Rajeev Surti: When Zee TV brought in DID Doubles, it gifted us two more fantabulous and hilarious judges. Marzi's Udi Baba and Rajiv's
Fultu Fatak are unforgettable. Though the show could not garner TRP's
as expected, the audience indeed had a memorable time watching these two sharing the screen with Geeta and Mithun Da. Let us hope for more from them this year as well.
Adnan Sami Khan and Javed Ali: The singer cum composer Adnan Sami turned a judge with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs Music Ka Gurukool. Javed Ali and Adnan Sami complemented each other very well. The soft and sensitive comments proved beneficial for the students of the show.
In 2012 we are going to see the Pakistani singing sensation Atif Aslam making his debut on Indian television. With Atif starting the race in 2012 let us wait and watch who will join him the later part of the year...

It seems that there is a dearth of singers, actors, actresses and 'Drama Queens' in the billion or so population of Indians that India has to turn to it's neighbours to supply 'Talents'!.
