Here's what Shweta Tiwari, Varun Badola & Anjali Tatrari had to say about their characters in Mere Dad ki Dulhan

Mere Dad ki Dulhan is an upcoming show which will be telecast on Sony TV and will revolve around the heartwarming relationship between father-daughter duo. While Varun Badola will play the role of the father, debutant Anjali Tatrari will portray the role of his 24 year old ambitious daughter. Shweta Tiwari will be seen playing a refreshing Punjabi character and will add the tadka in the plot. 

Here's what the lead characters had to say about their role in the series:

Shweta Tiwari-

I am coming back on television screens after 3 years and I have selected Mere Dad ki Dulhan as my comeback is because it is a very different character. My character of Guneet is a relatable one. I love stepping into unique character each time and this what I am looking forward with Mere Dad ki Dulhan. For my look in the show, the makers didn't want my long hair hence I am keeping them short. My characteristics are outspoken, straight forward and full of life person, in short, a 'Jhalli' and I just want to portray the same.

Varun Badola- 

The reason I said yes for the show is because of its interesting and unique characterization. More than that I feel proud to be part of the transition phase that Indian Television has reached so far. The show concepts these days are set very differently from the typical drama. My character, Amber Sharma, is a stubborn straight forward person who doesn’t believe in change and lives his life in a set pattern. He prefers being anti-social. Viewers’ will definitely get a new flavor with this show.

Anjali Tatrari-

 My character in the show, Nia Sharma, I believe is totally opposite one from what I am in real life. I am an easy going person in real life while for this character I have to act bit matured. In the show, I am sharing the screen with two of the biggest stars of TV Industry and I am extremely excited to be working and learning from them. The best part of the show is it is a very practical and relatable show which is very different from typical saas-bahu drama. This was why I said yes for it.  Viewers will definitely get to see a refreshing story with Mere Dad Ki Dulhan.
