The world couldn't contain their excitement when it was confirmed that one of the most loved shows of all time, Khichdi will indeed be returning for a third season with all the original characters being retained.

And now here's some important details you need to know before the show goes on-air.

According to reports, this season of the show is going to be a finite and will air 52 episodes only. Another major change that the makers have brought in is that one will be witnessing a new celebrity coming in every episode and will have an important role to play thus adding to the hilarious adventures of Parekh family.

This format of having a guest celebrity hasn't been completely exercised except one or two instances. A sitcom having such a format has only otherwise seen in the international sensation sitcom, Friends.

As already known, actors like Renuka Shahane, Bakhtiyar Irani, Debina Bonerjee and Deepshikha Nagpal have already shot with the cast and will be playing the roles of a female don, a con artist, a doctor and a painter respectively.

There is another development which may take place for the show and that is how popular actors from Hats Off Productions' popular shows like Baa Bahoo Aur Baby and Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai will also be coming on the show. The only question remains if they will be enacting the same characters from the shows or not.

I mean imagine having another Pathak sisters' reunion like last time around when Maya Sarabhai (Ratna Pathak Shah) collided with Hansa Parekh (Supriya Pathak).

The show is scheduled to go on-air by January 2018.
