Heartwarming Smiles: Kiddies Special

BollyCurry presents to you a list of those few child artistes of recent times who have paved their way into our hearts with their adorable smiles.

As an audience, we often find ourselves fixating on a certain aspect of a film in order to keep intact our sanity throughout the high voltage drama, the excess rona-dhona or the weak storytelling. However, when a young child actor appears on our screens, finding solace in their innocent smiles and cute expressions comes naturally. A child's actions are pure, instinctive and free from manipulation and therefore, they always manage to capture our hearts. To commence this month's theme of "Emotions", BollyCurry presents to you a list of those few child artistes of recent times who have paved their way into our hearts with their adorable smiles.

Ahsaas Channa

This beautiful girl tasted fame from a very young age in both the Bollywood and Tellywood industry; she has acted in approximately half a decade of films and television serials alike. However, one would agree that the soft smile that adorned her cute face is enticing as it keeps one glued to the screen, especially in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) where she convincingly played the role of an adorable boy. Miss Channa is currently seen as Ayesha in the teen sitcom Oye Jassi.

Darsheel Safary

This young prodigy won many hearts with his spectacular debut performance in Taare Zameen Par (2007). The movie was a huge success changing the perspective of every parent towards their children. Despite the soft spot one may have for his portrayal of a dyslexic character, Safary's constant shy smile throughout the hardships in his life is what initially attracted the audience. His performance resulted in him winning many awards, leading him to act in other films since.

Aman Siddiqui

Essaying the role of the mischief maker Banku in Bhoothnath (2008), the movie has garnered this miniature talent a lot of attention. His naughty antics and undying thirst for adventure, coupled with his cute smiles are the reasons why this film was a huge success. Not many seasoned actors can hold their own in front of Amitabh Bachchan but Aman Siddiqui proved that and much more all with a chorus of "aww".

Parth Bhalerao

Marking his Bollywood debut in Bhoothnath Returns (2014), this handsome young man managed to blow us away with his amazing performance in the supernatural comedy. In addition to his commendable acting, the naughty smile plastered on his face throughout the film keeps us entertained. Boys are naughty, no doubt about that, but with such an innocent face and mischievous smile, who could resist?

Ruhanika Dhawan

Ruhanika Dhawan is an angel, capturing hearts across the globe with her endearing performances ever since she made her debut in Jai Ho (2014). Without a shadow of a doubt, her delightful smile brightens up the screens and we're immediately enthralled in her innocent charms. Little Dhawan can currently be seen essaying the role of Ruhi Bhalla in Balaji's serial, Ye Hai Mohabbatein.

There you have it, a short list of child artistes that have captured hearts with their endearing smiles and acting talent on the big screen. Any film is lucky to be graced with the presence of a kid to enhance the "cuteness quotient" of the movie. As a result, one may find their source of fascination in the kids' heartwarming smiles. BollyCurry makes an exit now with a huge smile plastered on our face but be sure to add your favourite child artist to our list by leaving their name in the comments below.
