"Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Hardik and Krunal's dad": Virat Kohli expresses condolences

Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Panday father Himanshu Pandya left for heavenly abode this morning at the age of 71.

Reportedly, Himanshu took his final breath after suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest. He had played a key role in the success of his cricketer sons.

Krunal Pandya, who was leading Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy has left the bubble in order to be with his family and as a result, he would not be playing for Baroda in the ongoing Indian T20 tournament.

"Yes, Krunal Pandya has left the bubble. It is a personal tragedy, Baroda Cricket Association mourns this loss of Hardik and Krunal," Baroda Cricket Association CEO Shishir Hattangadi told ANI.

Hardik is not playing the national T20 tournament as he is preparing for the white-ball series against England.

Soon after the news broke out, shocked and heartbroken, Indian Cricket team's current captain, Virat Kohli expressed condolences to both the brothers over their irreplaceable loss.

Taking to his social media account, Virat posted his condolence message that read: "Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Hardik and Krunal's dad. Spoke to him a couple of times, looked a joyful and full of life person. May his soul rest in peace. Stay strong you two. @hardikpandya7 @krunalpandya24"

During one of the interviews with TOI, Himanshu Pandya, while speaking about his daughter-in-law Nataša Stanković had said that he knew that Hardik was going to Dubai with Natasa but he told them nothing about proposing her for marriage.

“Natasa is a very nice girl, and we have met her in Mumbai on a number of occasions. We knew that they were going on a vacation to Dubai, but had no clue that they were going to get engaged. This took us by surprise. We came to know about it after they got engaged,” Himanshu was quoted as saying by TOI.
