The eve of Diwali is celebrated on a huge scale throughout India and even around the world. Considered to be one of the hugest festivals, the grandeur on this festival is certainly a visual spectacle.

While every year, all of us have the same plans and try keeping it quintessential, we thought if there are any unusual memories or unusual plans for Diwali.

And while we can think of some, we asked our beloved TV actors about the same and we got some amazing answers. Have a read-

Aakanksha Singh best known for 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha'

Every year is a new experience for me, hence, I cannot really pick one. However, this time around, my Diwali plans are unusual as it is for the first time ever that I am away from my home, shooting abroad during Diwali. Hence, I am missing my family and it always unusual without them.

Rithvik Dhanjani best known for 'Pavitra Rishta'

When it comes to this year, I am celebrating the festival with my family. However, an unusual memory of the festival would be that back when I was in Dubai in my growing years, I have witnessed lavish celebrations of the festival, something that we don't see here often. We always used to sneak into places to burst crackers. The best part about Diwali for me is food as I am not thinking about the 'diet' during the eve.

Ekta Kaul best known for 'Mere Angne Mein'

I think the unusual and for us, the most noble way of celebrating Diwali is when my family used to take us out to old age homes to celebrate the festival with the lovely people there.

Suyyash Rai best known for 'Phir Bhi Na Maane... Badtameez Dil'

Well, as such, there is not really any 'unusual' plan for Diwali. But, I don't know if it is unusual to others that I like to get up early on a Diwali morning and help my family with cleaning up the house. Post that, it is spending time with my family and a quiet dinner.

Sumit Bharadwaj best known for 'Beyhadh'

It may be one of the most unusual ones, but I have planned to celebrate this Diwali with the security guards of my apartment in the morning. The day will start with having some great time with them followed by spending quality time with my close ones. The festival is about spreading love and I intend on doing that completely.

Yuvika Chaudhary best known for 'Ek Maa Jo Bani Lakhon Ke Liye... Amma'

Well, there isn't something really unusual about my Diwali plans, but I make it a point to be with my extended family on the festival, no matter what. Yesterday, I was in Sri Lanka but I flew in the morning to spend time with my family. And it may not seem really unusual, but I also make it a point that I decorate the whole house and make the rangoli.

Tanvi Thakker best known for 'Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant'

Talking about my unusual memories of Diwali, I studied in a convent school since Class 2nd. And hence, we did not get any Diwali holidays, so I did not know how to burst crackers. However, one year, I was contracted with chickenpox and I was home during Diwali with my cousins. When I was asked to burst crackers, I did not know how to do it! So, my whole family and cousins laughed at me and I became the laughing stock on Diwali.

Mugdha Chaphekar best known for 'Saheb Biwi Aur Boss'

I've actually never bursted crackers so it may sound unusual, but I do no have any memory of bursting crackers. And that is because there was always awareness and realization about air and noise pollution from the beginning. However, we did light a lot of diyas and make rangolis. Also, its a given that the lights have never been imported.

Sukirti Kandpal best known for 'Dill Mill Gayye'

It may not be really unusual, but I do have a special memory of Diwali. We are three siblings and when we were kids, we used to keep fighting as to who will get which cracker and I always wanted the best sparkler. However, I did not get the sparkler I wanted and was crying to have it. Witnessing that, my mother gave me an even better one. It is fondest memory I have of Diwali.

Shikha Singh best known for 'Kumkum Bhagya'

This year's Diwali is gonna be an unusual one for me as I am gonna be with Karan (husband) on his flight. He is flying and I am gonna be accompanying him. Hence, its gonna be Diwali with him in Shanghai.

Shweta Basu Prasad best known for 'Chandra Nandini'

This Diwali is gonna be a special and unusual one as it also my mother's birthday. And it's a day off from shoot, so, it is double celebration at home tomorrow.

Jagat Rawat best known for 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi'

For me the most finest and unusual memory would be when in my hometown, back in 1995, we lit the whole playground with the help of local theatre artists and school kids. It was a lot of fun.

Nikita Dutta best known for 'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste'

When I was 8 years old, Diwali happened to fall on the same day as my birthday. I spent the whole Diwali crying because I felt ignored since people wished me 'Happy Diwali' before 'Happy Birthday'. So, that Diwali was a grumpy one and I thankfully never repeated that on the festival of happiness. It certainly is unusual, isn't it?
