The 20th of December marks the celebration of one event and one event only for BollyCurry - the birthday of the dynamic Sohail Khan!

Born to successful yesteryear screenwriter Salim Khan and Sushila Charak Khan, Sohail is the youngest of three sons with Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan being his elder brothers. He is married to Seema Sachdev and they have two sons, Nirvaan and Yohan, while Bollywood actress and dancer Helen is his stepmother.

Sohail began his career in 1997 with Auzaar as a director and film producer, which also starred Salman Khan and Sanjay Kapoor. He continued directing films primarily casting his brothers in central roles, the most popular and successful being Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) and Hello Brother (1999). He made his acting debut in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya in 2002, which he also wrote, produced and directed, and continued acting but did not face success until Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005). Sohail also faced his first big production success with Partner (2008) which was followed by the production of Ready (2011). Both films starred Salman in the lead roles.

Currently, Sohail is directing Jai Ho which is scheduled to release on January 24, 2014, and Sher Khan which is speculated to be India's first 3D adventure drama movie. The film is yet to beginning shooting phase but has already garnered much news and anticipation.
