Hamari Sister Didi has changed my notions about me as a man and an actor - Bhanu Uday

Good looking actor, Bhanu Uday has surely shown a lot of variation in the characters that he has portrayed on screen. The tough guy in Special Squad and the stern yet a helpful doctor in Hamari Sister Didi on Sony Pal, Bhanu has proved himself as an actor. Hamari Sister Didi by DJ's Creative Unit recently ended. In our conversation with Bhanu, he speaks about his experience and journey while shooting for show.

How has Hamari Sister Didi helped you career wise? 

Well, Hamari Sister Didi was my first daily soap after Special Squad. I had always been resistant to doing daily soaps earlier in my career but then this offer came to me. I was excited about doing it because it was a love story done in a daily soap format and I have never done this before. I had done Theatre, a crime based weekly show, a regional political show, short films, a TV mini-series, Hindi feature films, a Hollywood film but a daily soap was the only thing left. I wanted to know what it felt like to work for many months at an average of twelve to thirteen hours every day. Before this show, every time I finished a job, I would feel like it shouldn't have finished so I wanted to be on the opposite side knowing that this job would go on for a long time. Hamari Sister Didi has helped my career in innumerable ways. Firstly, for the first time in my career, I have achieved some kind of financial stability and I hope that I can use this to really do the kind of work that I want to do. Secondly, because I worked so much, the camera became my best friend. I achieved a relaxation in my acting, which I did not had before.

How was your experience with the production house?

My experience with the production house was one of the best I have ever had. Tony Sir and Deeya Mam treated me like their family and took care of all my needs. I am really grateful to them and I love them a lot. I would definitely want to work with DJs again.

How was your relation with your co actors?

My relationship with my costars were really good and we really did end up becoming a family. I will miss them. I feel like it was a home for me.

What has Hamari Sister Didi taught you?

Sister Didi has taught me several things. It has changed my attitude towards my work. I had many notions about myself as a man and as an actor. This show has really changed all of them. Before taking up this show, I thought I had a very clear idea of the kind of man and actor I was. Now that the show has finished it will be great to rediscover myself once again. I'm looking forward to it.

What is next on your wish list?

Right now the only thing on my wish list is spending time with my wife and going on my much delayed honeymoon.
