Bigg Boss went on a different way this year where the reality show went on to introduce a first-time ever web-exclusive version, Bigg Boss OTT followed by the usual Bigg Boss 15 that begun just under a month ago. While the OTT version was a mixed bag, it is all the more surprising that the televised version, Bigg Boss 15 has not managed to click so far and has been rather underwhelming.
But one thing we cannot deny is the mix of contestants in the televised version is indeed interesting to say the least. In fact, actor Gurucharan Singh who is popular for the role of Sodhi in the Sab TV show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was one of the people who was approached for this season as well. That's right. We know how Singh hasn't been a part of the show since shooting resumed in July 2020.
Talking about what happened with ETimes TV, Singh said not just for Bigg Boss 15 but he was approached for Bigg Boss OTT as well. He mentioned that on both occasions the talks had made headway but stopped abruptly. The chances seemingly were higher in the OTT segment hosted by Karan Johar. In the OTT version, the two parties had even spoken about money but after that, the broadcasters didn't get back to Singh. They wanted me, they wanted me to quarantine... but as I said they just didn't come back," he said.
While it did not happen, we cannot help but wonder how would have Singh been in the reality show.
