Sony TV's Mere Dad Ki Dulhan has already managed to create a huge impact on the viewers and has been appreciated especially for the amazing on-screen father-daughter chemistry between Varun Badola and Anjali Tartari, and the nok-jhok chemistry between Badola and Shweta Tiwari.
Things will soon spice up a lot more as the show will be witnessing a new entry in the form of actor Sunny Hinduja. Hinduja has been a part of several films and shows, where he was last seen in Mardaani 2 and played an important role in Amazon Prime Video's The Family Man too. Coming to Mere Dad Ki Duhan, Hinduja's role will be a cameo and he will be seen playing Dr. Anurag Malhotra, a 43-year-old orthopedic surgeon who is also a single parent.
In an interview with Bombay Times, Hinduja said, "Anurag is a single parent who is looking for a companion for himself and a mother for his daughter. I found the character very relatable. He is looking for a companion for his old age and Guneet comes across as someone who will be perfect for him,"
On why did he agree to be a part of the show, he said, "I have done TV shows earlier, but only those that do not go on for years or have an interesting concept. I agreed to do this show since the role was a cameo and the show is not the usual saas-bahu saga. I was looking forward to do something interesting on TV. Fortunately, I had some time before I start shooting for other projects, so this looked like an opportunity in every way,"
On working with Badola and Tiwari, he said, "They are both very good actors. I have seen their shows and to work with them is a privilege."
We wish the actor all the best for the show.
