Gudi Padwa 2022: Anchal Sahu, Rachi Sharma and Akanksha Juneja extend hearty wishes

This year, April 2 marks Gudi Padwa, also known as Samvatsar Padvo. It embarks the beginning of the Marathi new year and is a joyous occasion for all Maharashtrians celebrating. And well, for everyone in Mumbai, it still is a special time so spend time with family, send out good wishes, and indulge in celebrations. Anchal Sahu, Rachi Sharma, and Akanksha Juneja got talking to India Forums about the celebrations.

Speaking about her plans to celebrate Gudi Padwa, television actor Anchal Sahu, told us, 

"Festivals are all about decking up in a traditional outfit and eating good food. Gudi Padwa, for me, is all about bonding with my family and that’s precisely what I plan to do every year. I wish everyone a very happy Gudi Padwa. This year, I pray for help and guidance in my studies so that I may succeed. I pray for good health for all my loved ones and the betterment of the world."

Talking about her plans to celebrate Gudi Padwa, Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 actor, Akanksha Juneja, said, 

"I hail from a Punjabi background and never saw celebrations of Gudi Padwa. But since I came to Mumbai, I have understood the importance of Gudi Padwa. I love to be blanketed in a celebratory mode. Gudi Padwa marks the beginning of the new year for Marathi and Konkani Hindus. This year, I have made Marathi Desserts to Celebrate the Marathi New Year. I will enjoy the day with my friends and family."

Rachi Sharma, currently seen in Woh Toh Hai Albelaa, went on to say, 

"Gudi Padwa is an awaited celebration in non-Maharashtrian households too. I am a non-Maharashtrian who is fond of Maharashtrian festivals and culture. So, I love to celebrate this festival. This year, I wish and pray for a year of positivity, good health and peace of mind."
