‘Got Rape And Acid Attack Threats For Criticising Salman Khan’: Sona Mohapatra Bursts Open

Singer Sona Mohapatra does not mince her words and keeps her views on social media unfiltered. Recently, she was in a soup after she called out actor Kartik Aaryan for his TikTok video and called it ‘misogynist’. Later, she was attacked by trolls to which she reacted stating that the actors’ PR has been staging articles to defame her.

She posted: "Sad how u are now going around pushing ur PR ppl to put up headlines about how ‘all’ ‘netizens’ r ‘slamming’ me for having issue with ur ‘silly- dangerous’video. I thought u realised ur folly @TheAaryanKartik ,were  genuine in your retraction when I ?? that. MCP ego flared up?"

And now, Sona has burst open on Twitter after a user called her Hinduphobic. She revealed she faced rape and acid attack threats after she raised her voice against Salman Khan. 

“Ma'am itne bure din aa gaye kya aapke ke  aap Twitter pe name search kar rahein ho aaur charo taraf sirf Hinduphobia hi dikh rahaa hain?” a user questioned Sona, to which she replied with a fierce reply:

  “Unlike you & your anon self I am a public figure. I was sent a series of threatening letters & much more from a Muslim organisation 2yrs ago for singing a Kalaam. Gang Rape & acid attack threats for criticizing Salman before that. I chose to blame misogyny & not religion.”
