GOT Creators David Benioff & D.B. Weiss to Helm The New Star Wars Movie!

We all are aware of the success and fanbase that HBO’s popular series, Game of Thrones has enjoyed. The series which was launched in 2011, will be ending soon with its final episode on Monday. Now, the latest buzz is that the brainchild behind the intriguing concept of GOT, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are gearing up for their next project.

As per reports, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are working on the new Star Wars film, which is expected to hit the screens in December, 2022. Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Iger broke the news on Tuesday at the MoffettNathanson Media & Communications Summit in New York. He also said he would not be commenting further on the same.

The company had previously announced that The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, separately, and Benioff and Weiss were working on new Star Wars films but it wasn’t clear who's film would come first. Both, however, are expected to be separate from the Skywalker saga which will wrap up this December with J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
