Glorious 6 years of the channel Colors!

One of the leading GEC channel Colors which commenced its journey on 21st July 2008 has come a long way as it has successful completed a remarkable journey of 6 years. The channel has brought in many new shows and concepts. It has come up with many unique concepts like Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi, India's Got Talent and many more. The shows on the channel were mainly based on the social issues which had created a vast awareness amongst the audiences. With the fascinating concepts the channel is riding high with its reach and popularity to the masses.

The shows which gained lots of popularity and had a unique concepts are as followed -


Balika Vadhu

The show which has received immense acclamation by the viewers for its unique concept and highlighting social issue has been associated with the channel since the time it was launched and is still on air acquiring good numbers. The show highlighted the social issue of child marriage and later it focused on many social issues like widow remarriage, women empowerment and more. It's not only Colors channel's 6th anniversary but is also 6th anniversary of show Balika Vadhu.
Uttaran
The show Uttaran also started in the same year 2008 in the month of December. The concept of show was based on the two friends who belong from different economic background. One is Icchha (Sparsh Khanchandani/Tina Dutta) was a maid's daughter and other was Tapasya (Ishita Panchal/Rashmi Desai Sandhu) who is well brought up. Later the story turns vice verse. The show took a leap and many new characters were roped in. However, with the change in the cast of the show, Uttaran still rules over the hearts of the viewers.

Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha

The show was based on the widow remarriage. The story was based on the widow Megha (Aakanksha Singh) whose husband gets killed and she is survived by two kids. Later she comes across a guy Mohan (Kunal Karan Kapoor) who was seen as a reporter. He helps Megha to clear all the allegations put on her husband. While helping her they both fall in love and get married. The show was pulled off air but due to its popularity, the makers came out with the second season. Both the seasons did well and was loved by the audiences.
24 tele-series

The show was the adaptation of the American series with same name. This was the first show in the history of Television which enthralled the masses with its gripping story and use of advanced technology. The show was finite show and had got an overwhelming response. The first season of 24 tele-series was a massive success and grabbed highest viewership. The makers of the show are planning a second season of this show.
Comedy Nights with Kapil

Comedy reality show Comedy Nights with Kapil has become one of the best comedy reality shows. The show recently completed a year and it gained immense popularity and has been riding high with the humungous response of the viewers. The most appealing thing for the masses is the funny gags, humorous acts and interactive session with the Bollywood personalities.
India's Got Talent

The show was an adaptation of Global Got Talent format where all the contestant showcase their talent in front of the three judges who decide whether a contestant deserves to go ahead or not. The show turned out to be convincing and grabbed many eyeballs. The show was a big hit and it successful completed 5 seasons and became one of the best talent hunt reality show.

Shama Deshpande seen as Radha in Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon
I did one show with Colors that is Madhubala. I was finalized by the channel itself for the role of Radha. I am very grateful and happy to be associated with Colors. It's a commendable that Colors has presented unique shows in front of audiences which have not only been appreciated by them but also by the eminent actors. I wish and hope that Colors apne rang yuhi bekherta rahe and gets more and more success in the future.

Vishal Karwalkar seen as Shantanu in Rangrasiya
I have done Bhagyavidhata, Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Bigg Boss season 6 and Rangrasiya. Its been amazing, really glad and proud to have such a strong bond with the channel. I am the only actor who has done so many shows with the channel Colors. I wish them all the best and I hope they keep making a path breaking shows like Balika Vadhu, 24 tele-series, Comedy Nights with Kapil and more.

Its good to know that Colors have completed six years. I have had a good relationship with the channel. Uttaran has given me name and fame. The show has been amazing. I wish Colors to go on adding colors in the life of audiences. The journey with Colors has been awesome.
