Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka undergoes chemotherapy now; continues to work

On one hand, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah shoot continues and in fact, the ensemble cast have just started shooting again and will be seen together as well in the upcoming episodes.

But on the other hand, actor Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka from the same show has been struggling with health issues for a while now. As we know, he underwent a surgery last year and that led him to stop shooting for the show followed by the pandemic where he was forced to sit home.

While he did a special episode a while ago, latest reports suggest that Nayak is undergoing a treatment yet again where he is having chemotherapy sessions.

Speaking with Dainik Bhasker, Ghanashyam Nayak’s son revealed his father will be undergoing chemotherapy session once a month. He shared, “In April, we did a positron emission tomography scanning of his neck, in which again some spots were found. He did not have any discomfort or pain in any way. But we did not want to take any risk, because of that we have started his chemotherapy sessions again.” Nayak’s son mentioned that the actor’s treatment is done from the hospital it was done before. He revealed that they will be getting a PET scan done of the actor once again. He said, “This treatment is being done from the same hospital and doctor from whom he was earlier. Papa is completely fine, just once a month we take him to the hospital for the session Will get a PET scan done again next month. I hope those spots are gone."

Talking to the portal, the veteran actor revealed he is feeling fine. He confirmed his cancer treatment has started again. He also shared that right now he is waiting to start shooting in Mumbai and is very positive about it. He said, "I am feeling fine but yes, the treatment has also started again. Currently, the chemotherapy session is going on. After almost four months I shot a special scene in Daman last week and Believe me I had a lot of fun there. As per the storyline at present, Natukaka is in his village and from there he makes a call to Jethalal. I went to Gujarat for a day just to shoot this call sequence. Episode one will be telecast in two days. Right now I am waiting to start shooting in Mumbai, I am very positive."
