Actor-filmmaker George Clooney, who will be seen onscreen in Jodie Foster's forthcoming directorial venture "Money Monster", says he feels "safe" working with her as she is an actress herself and takes good care of her cast.

"Most actors who become directors, their focus, in general, is on performance. You can go down the list and there are very few who design in massively complicated shots," Clooney said in a statement.

"That's a very good thing if you're an actor in the movie because the first thing you know you'll be protected with is performance.

"So the minute Foster asked me to be a part of this thriller film I readily agreed as I strongly believe that I would be perfectly safe in the journey because she takes care of actors," he added.

Clooney will be seen as an anti-hero in "Money Monster", which revolves around a financial TV host Lee Gates (Clooney) and his producer Patty (Julia Roberts) and how the two are put in an explosive situation when an irate investor, played by Jack O'Connell, takes over their studio.

The film will release in India by Sony Pictures on May 15.
