Gautam Gulati takes the trophy home!

Bigg Boss 8, which kicked off with a bang saw its finale today. With five contestants Dimpy Ganguly Mahajan, Gautam Gulati, Ali Quli Mirza, Pritam Singh, Karishma Tanna, vying for the title of Bigg Boss, the pressure was piling up on the contestants, heart beats were pumping, but the contestant who emerged as the ultimate winner is none other than dashing Gautam Gulati who was always a consistent and smart guy to play the game tactfully in the house.

Reaching all the way to the finale, Gautam Gulati takes home the trophy. On seeing receiving the trophy, Gautam's mother and brother Mohit Gulati were delighted to join him on the stage.

Gautam will take away the cash prize of 50 Lakhs and breather a sigh of relief as he will be out of the house after struggling for 90 days.

Well coming to the show, it was Karishma Tanna, Pritam Singh in the top three, vying for the title. But Pritam chose to take 25 lakhs and get eliminated from the show. The race to win the title of the show starting heating up when two rivals, Gautam and Karishma emerged as the finalist.

To say, not only the viewers, but his popularity was trending throughout on the social media as several poll results declared him as the winner. Now, after receiving so many votes by the audience, Gautam has been declared as the winner of Bigg Boss Season 8.

Journey: Bigg Boss 8 on Colors has been the talk of the town right from the time it hit the idiot box. Firstly what grabbed the eyes of the viewer are the contestants who took part in the show. Secondly, the whole new concept of Aircraft Flight BB08 was something that definitely pleased the audience. Well, what besides this was the tag line Bigg Boss Seasn  Aath, Sabki Lagegi Vaat!!

All of the contestants were ordered to live in an aircraft for almost two weeks. This too had a twist in it. Out of the fifteen contestants, three of them i.e. Deepshikha Nagpal, Punit Issar and Pritam Singh were said to be the members of Secret Society. However, their identities were kept under secrecy in front of the remaining twelve contestants. 

Then comes the much highlighted Hijack task known for the controversies that it brought along with it. This marks the beginning of all the fights in the house. The contestants were divided into two teams and were asked to sit on the aircraft seats for as long as they can. Eventually, Hijack task can be named as the Mirchi task reasons known to all of us.

Sonali Raut was the first contestant who got eliminated and was brought back again in the house. Here started the first love triangle between Upen Patel, Gautam Gulati and Sonali Raut. The Kantaala girl Sonali was teased worldwide for the way she cleaned the house and got the title of Kamchor.

Up next in the list after Sonali was Punit Issar who was brought back into the house after his violence with Arya Babbar. He was locked up in a cage till the time all the inmates forgave him.

The third and the final one who returned the house post his elimination was Upen Patel.

Wild card entries - The eight season of Bigg Boss was the longest season in the history of Bigg Boss and so we saw the maximum wild card entries in the show. First wild card contestant who entered the house in the third week was popular singer Ali Quli Mirza. He came in the house and became the first captain not for a week but for two weeks. He created lots of buzz in the house because of which he made it to the finale and acquired the forth position.

Next contestants were three beautiful ladies to add more more glamor quotient in the show. Firstly Spiltsvilla fame Renne Dhyani and Dimpy Ganguly Mahajan ex wife of Rahul Mahajan and later Nigaar Z. Khan seen in many TV shows entered Bigg Boss 8.

Unfortunately Nigaar failed to woo the audience and got eliminated, even Renee was not able to grab much attention and in a short span of time she got evicted. Only Dimply Mahajan was able to survive till the end and make her space in top 5.

Changes which were witnessed in the new season : It will not be wrong to say that Bigg Boss 8 saw many alterations this time. For the first time ever Bigg Boss was extended for a longer period than usual. One more change which we noticed is that participants were evicted and they made their entry in the house again. Sonali Raut was eliminated very early from the show but she came back again and survived for a very long time by giving a power packed performance.

Another contestant who left and returned was Upen Patel. When he left he wished to come back again with new attitude and energy and audience really found a different Upen with his come back.

Even Puneet Issar was told to quit because of his violent behavior but Bigg Boss decide to get him back.

Coming to Halla Bol wild card entrants was another TRP gaining strategy of Bigg Boss this time. Mahek Chahel,Sambhavna Seth,Rahul Mahajan,Ajaz Khan,Sanaa Khan were the entrants. They all got more spice and drama in the house. These five contestants were challengers for the other contestants. Ajaz Khan was evicted because pf his aggressive and violent behavior.

Well to sum up, it was one of the most intriguing journey of Bigg Boss till date.
