Gauri Khan opts for an intimate Birthday Bash with hubby Shah Rukh and son Abram over a glamourous celebration!

Shah Rukh Khan’s darling wife turned 49 yesterday, on September 8. While many birthday wishes poured in from all quarters of Bollywood for her, a big birthday bash remains missing. Rather, it was an intimate house party as the couple decided to celebrate their special day along with their little munchkin Abram, and a few friends.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Gauri Khan opted for some quality family time over a glamorous celebrity celebration. She spent her special day at home with hubby Shah Rukh and Abram, while the older siblings Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan could not be there as they are currently abroad to complete their further studies.

They were accompanied by Gauri’s besties Shalini and Sanjay Passi, who flew down to Mumbai to spend time with the Khans. Besides, some of the celebrity friends of the birthday girl too joined in for the dinner, which included Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Rima Jain, Nitasha Nanda.

Apart from the many birthday wishes that poured in for Gauri Khan, a special note from her close friend and filmmaker Karan Johar is sure to make her day extra special. "Happy birthday to the strongest silent support system in my life...the most real person I know...beautiful within and beautiful always ....and one must never be fooled with her blank stare because she is ridiculously on point with her observations! She makes me laugh with her manual of how to live a stress free life ( she knows what I am talking about) also am so proud with how she has created a solid professional zone for herself and is super successfully running a design enterprise...I love you so much Gauri!
