Ganguwala Safed: Alia Bhatt marks one year of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

'Gangu chand thi, chand hi rahegi ...' One year to this iconic dialogue and an iconic film. One of Bollywood's most adored actresses is Alia Bhatt and her acting prowess and movies speak for itself. The actress just entered a new stage of life after giving birth to her daughter Raha Bhatt Kapoor. Undoubtedly, last year has been surreal for her as the actress has accomplished everything, including starring in a blockbuster, getting married, and giving birth to her first child with husband Ranbir Kapoor. 

The actress posted a lovely photo of herself and the movie's director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, to mark the occasion.

Taking to her Instagram account. Alia Bhatt shared a picture of herself and  Gangubai Kathiawadi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actor-director duo can be seen twinning in white in the photo. Alia is wearing a white satin blazer, which she looks stunning in. She has left her hair open and accessorised her look with a white pearl earring. Sanjay, on the other hand, wears a white cotton kurta and stands beside the actress, holding her. Sharing this picture, Alia wrote, “One year of our Gangu #gangubaizindabad #ganguwalasafed.”

Following the success of 'Gangubai,' Alia and Bhansali are set to reunite for 'Baiju Bawra'. She will co-star with Ranveer Singh as the male lead in the film. According to the latest reports, Alia will end her maternity leave in June or July and begin filming the SLB project.

After 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,' this will be Alia's third collaboration with Ranveer.

While Bhansali, on the other hand, is preparing to release his OTT series 'Heeramandi'. Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh play the central characters of courtesans in the teaser.
