Alia Bhatt has managed to become a name to reckon with in Bollywood. The actress boasts of an impressive slate of films and also has another impressive list of movies coming ahead for her. Things sure do look good for the fans of the star, but now, all eyes are on Gangubai Kathiawadi, all set to release on February 25, 2022 (merely a few hours from now).

India Forums got a chance to speak to Alia ahead of the film's release and get to hear from the woman of the hour herself, how overwhelming the response has been for her, how would she say has the journey on the movie been for her, what is her way of dealing with any negativity, and some more. Read excerpts here.

Ask her if the journey and the process of shooting has been overwhelming for her, in addition to the response for the movie, she tells us,

''It's been very exciting, overwhelming, not really. I don't really know how to explain it but I wait for the film to release to be overwhelmed, so fingers crossed. I like to know what people think and I feel very happy when people catch onto nuances, like okay, we planned all these things and it had this subtext while shooting it and they are catching onto it, so that feels victorious, especially when people are responding to emotions without context and with a two minute clip, then it adds to the excitement even more, because just imagine how would they respond with context.''

We also asked her about one takeaway she has from the shoot and the entire process of making Gangubai Kathiawadi. She tells us,

''I think there was this sequence of Dholida and that one last long shot. When we had to shoot the sequence in the film, the way we achieved it and the way we came onto that moment, it was really no joke. It was four - five days of shooting the song relentlessly, my legs were paining, my back was broken; everything was all over the place but there was this emotional transcendence that sir wanted me to go into, with the end of the song, and it was very essential that the character's eyes change, he wanted a certain energy and a sort of trance that he wanted the character to go into, so that experience and how finally, when it did happen, and they asked for one more take and when I finally went ahead and did that, that was something I think I will never forget.''

Controversies aside, we even asked her if they ever get to her and how does she deal with it. She told us,

''Not even in the slightest way, I don't even think it reaches my ears or my eyes.''

Lastly, we also asked her as to how emotionally and physically taxing was the shoot process and how would she deal with that. She told us,

''There's no real way you can deal with it, it was emotionally and physically taxing and it was very high output high demand work but there's no way to deal with it. It's also something you enjoy and whenever you get a break, you sleep it off and go back, and rejuvenate again.''

Well, all eyes on Alia as everyone awaits the film's release.
