Zee TV’s Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan has steadily carved out its own identity through strong storytelling and layered female characters. The show presents four women — Sneha (Amandeep Sidhu), Durgawati (Indira Krishna), Ganga Mai (Shubhangi Latkar) and Indu (Shraddha Jaiswal) — each portrayed with strength, complexity, and emotional depth. Their personalities are bold, opinionated, and rooted in reality, making the narrative stand out in today’s television landscape.

Strong Women With Different Perspectives
Speaking about the unique dynamic among the four women on the show, Amandeep explains that each character brings a distinct point of view. She shares, “Durgawati, Sneha, Ganga Mai, and Indu, all four of us are very strong-headed, resilient women. Each of us has our own perspective, and naturally, they’re very different from one another.”
She points out that even characters perceived as negative are written in a way that allows empathy. Referring to Indu’s character, Amandeep notes that there are moments when viewers understand her emotions despite her actions. This layered writing has elicited interesting reactions, even in her personal life. Amandeep recalls how her mother once questioned her dislike for Durgawati, believing the character wasn’t entirely wrong. That moment made her realise how strongly the show connects with audiences and how successfully it portrays characters with shades of grey.

Learning From Shubhangi Latkar and Indira Krishna
Off screen, Amandeep draws immense inspiration from her co-actors, especially senior performers Shubhangi Latkar and Indira Krishna. She credits them for shaping her journey not just as an actor, but also as a person. Amandeep shares, “I learn something new from these three women on set every day, they inspire me immensely.”
Talking about Shubhangi Latkar, she describes a bond similar to that of a mother-daughter. She feels comfortable sharing things with her that she may not even discuss with her own mother. About Indira Krishna, Amandeep highlights her professionalism and acting skills, calling her a brilliant actress and a wonderful human being. She adds that Shraddha Jaiswal has helped her grow emotionally stronger and more balanced through their close connection.
As Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan continues to move forward with rising drama and emotional conflicts, viewers remain eager to see how the journeys of Sneha, Durgawati, Indu, and Ganga Mai unfold.
