Actor Arjun Singh Shekhawat, who is widely known for his performance in the popular television drama Pandya Store, is all set to entertain audiences with a brand new role. The actor has now entered Pati Anadi on Dangal TV and recently opened up about his role, career choices, and what makes this new character stand apart from the ones he has portrayed in the past. Speaking to India Forums, Arjun shared several interesting details about his character Nishant and his journey so far.

Talking about his role in the show, Arjun said, “In Pati Anadi, I’m playing Nishant, a character who comes from a rooted Mathura background and carries that desi swag very naturally. He’s someone who doesn’t take life too seriously, enjoys his space, and lives with a very chilled out, carefree vibe. What I like about Nishant is that he’s not designed to be perfect. He has his own quirks and a slightly mischievous side. Instead of being the ideal elder brother, he often ends up pulling his younger brother’s leg and creating fun chaos around him. That unpredictability makes him fun to play. You don’t really know how he’ll react in every situation, and that gives the character a very fresh energy on screen.”

The actor also reflected on his previous projects and what he explored professionally before taking up this show. Speaking about the same, he shared, “My last TV outing was Kumkum Bhagya. Post that, I consciously took up projects that were a bit different from regular television. I worked on a bunch of ad campaigns and also explored vertical format content on OTT, where I got to play lead roles. That space is evolving right now, and it was exciting to be part of something that’s still finding its audience in India. Somewhere during that phase, Pati Anadi came my way. The moment I heard the brief, I felt this character had a different texture compared to what I had been doing, so I decided to take it up.”

Arjun further explained how Nishant differs from the other roles he has portrayed in his acting career. He said, “For me, the biggest shift is the tone of the character and the world he belongs to. When you’re playing someone from a place like Mathura, everything changes, the way you speak, react, even the rhythm of your body language. Nishant, as a person, is also not very linear. He has a slightly offbeat personality, fun, unpredictable, and a little unconventional in his thinking. He doesn’t follow the typical hero template, and that’s what makes him interesting. Also, I’ve always enjoyed transforming myself completely for every role. I don’t like repeating patterns. With Nishant too, the idea was to build a personality that feels organic to that space, so that when people watch him, they don’t see me, they just see the character.”
