Friday fashion face-off: Deepika Padukone and Shilpa Shetty defines elegance in black and golden saree

We are back with the Friday fashion face-off, and this time the divas in the picture are Deepika Padukone and Shilpa Shetty. While the actresses are not actually wearing exactly similar outfits, they seem to don something closely replicating one another. 

Deepika Padukone recently attended the Indian Sports Honours along with her hubby Ranveer Singh and dad Prakash Padukone. She opted to clad in a lovely black saree and looked stunning. The plain black saree had a subtle golden border with minimal work on the edges. She styled it with a full sleeves high round neck blouse.

 Deepika accessorised her look with statement earrings. DP pulled back her hair into a sleek bun with a side partition. She opted for a nude yet bold makeup look with mascara and kohl-laden eyes. She used bronzer, contoured cheeks and a nude brown lip shade to accentuate her face. Deepika channelled her inner diva while exuding grace and elegance in this look. 

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty was seen wearing a similar saree for one of her events. However her 9-yards were a bit different than that of Deepika. Shilpa Shetty's saree had a broader golden border which was crafted with feathers. 

She also styled the drape with a full-sleeved boat neck blouse with golden borders at the wrists. She accessorised her look with a statement neck- piece, small studs in her ears and a golden bracelet. She also carried a clutch bag while posing for the lens. Shilpa left her tresses loose and opted for a very subtle makeup look.
