Former Bengali film star in hospital

Kolkata, Oct 10 (IANS) Yesteryear's Bengali screen goddess Suchitra Sen has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata with high fever.

Pradeep Tandon, chief executive officer of Bellevue Clinic, said: 'She was admitted with high fever Tuesday night. Now she is stable and recovering but medical investigations are still on.'

Suchitra, mother of Moon Moon Sen and grandmother of Bollywood actors Raima and Riya Sen, lives a life away from any publicity and few have seen her in public since she left films in the late 1970s.
