The Kanika Kapoor saga has turned out to be a huge talking point since the past few hours where the singer has come in for immense flak owing to her apparent disregard for government advisory and general precautions against coronavirus.

For the uninitiated, Kapoor has been tested positive of coronavirus and apparently partied with over 300-400 people after her trip from London to Lucknow without taking precautions and care.

She is on the receiving end of criticism for her alleged irresponsible behavior. Now, if a report in IANS is anything to go by, the CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has ordered an FIR against the singer for playing with the public’s health and twisting facts.

As per the official sources, the Chief Minister has given his consent for the FIR. According to the sources of IANS, Kanika Kapoor, who was tested positive for coronavirus today, was residing the room no 602 of Lucknow’s Hotel Taj. It has now been sealed for the next two days. A senior police officer said to the news publication, “The FIR will be lodged against her because she came from London and was aware of the corona safety protocols.”

He added, “She apparently did not get tested at the airport and even though she was developing symptoms, she freely attended parties and mingled with a large number of people.” BJP leader Vasundhara Raje and her son, too, was a guest alongside Kanika. As a consequence, they have gone into immediate quarantine and are taking all the necessary precautions.

Aren't they supposed to arrest those entire people ....they were given caution for not conducting parties.

An FIR isnt enough. Throw such people in jail without a bail provision who knowingly endanger the lives of the community by their oversmart behaviour!
