The makers of the action-packed film "Fighter" have found themselves entangled in a legal controversy following a legal notice issued by an Indian Air Force officer from Assam. The officer, Saumya Deep Das, has raised objections to a kissing scene featured in the movie, involving lead actors Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan.

Despite the film receiving adoration from its dedicated audience, the recent legal notice has cast a shadow over its post-release discussions. The controversy revolves around a scene depicting a kiss between the characters played by Padukone and Roshan, set within the context of military attire. Das alleges that the portrayal of such a scene in uniform is disrespectful to the honor and sanctity associated with the Indian Air Force.

The incident has sparked debates within the industry about the ethical boundaries of creative expression and the importance of upholding the dignity of real-life professions. In other news, addressing the underwhelming performance of the film, director Siddharth Anand noted that its release on January 25, a mid-week day, presented certain obstacles. Anand stressed the necessity for filmmakers, including himself, to reassess their anticipations. He suggested that the success of "Pathaan," released just a year prior, may have inflated these expectations.

"Fighter" features Padukone as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, also known as Minni, and Roshan as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, affectionately called Patty. Supported by seasoned talents such as Anil Kapoor and Karan Singh Grover, the film promises an action-packed narrative set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force.
