Father's Day Special

On the occasion of Father's Day, your favourite Zee TV actors talk about the influence that their fathers had in their life.

Nishant Singh Malkhani  who plays the role of Akshat in Guddan Tujhse Na Ho Payega says, “I think my father has been one of the biggest influences on my personality because I have always admired him and tried to be like him. He always told me to follow my heart but to remember how it would impact your parents and this very thought has always kept me on the right track. He is a sweet gentle man who has loved his family more than himself and till date, I aspire to be like him.”

Siddhaanth Surryavanshi who plays the role of Kuldeep in Kyon Rishton Mein Katti Batti says, “Its feels great to be a father & to be loved & respected by the kids. Although no matter how hard one tries, we can never come at par with the mothers, but we surely try. Fatherhood made me realise the responsibilities I need to step into. It made me understand the true value of my dad and I genuinely believe that being a father is what changes boys to real men. I am truly blessed to have 2 beautiful & loving brats who keep me on my toes every day, quite literally. It certainly feels great to be back home from work & to be showered with so much of love and affection. Especially, with everything that’s been happening around with everyone going through so much stress in their lives and that obviously takes a toll and makes it difficult to keep up with the ever-expanding modern world & its challenges. My children are in a way my anchors to keep me afloat. The role of a modern-day father ain’t as straightjacketed as it used to be for our fathers and grandfathers. A father today needs to be a lot more involved & invested mentally, emotionally & intellectually with the kids. All in all, I feel it is an experience of a lifetime and it is an absolute pleasure to see my kids blossom into these beautiful beings makes up for all the effort, energy and time that I’ve put in.”

Anjum Fakih who plays the role of Srishti in Kundali Bhagya says, “I possess extremely special memories with my family, especially with my father and I treasure them with all I have. He has always been a practical person, and luckily, I have been blessed with this trait of his. He has always given us the courage to follow our heart and do what we believe in. I remember once he told me that one should always have their head held firm on their shoulders and not let success get to you, and that is something I believe has stayed with me and has been instrumental in shaping my thought process. It is true that an individual’s true character is tested basis how they behave when they have achieved success in their lives. And to think of it, success never stays with you forever, however your good deeds and legacy live on. I think this is the best advise that a father can give his child and I am glad to have him around. I am eagerly looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day with him at home.”

Shraddha Arya who plays the role of Preeta in Kundali Bhagya says, "For me, my life literally revolves around my parents. I still live with my parents and I'm just around them all the time. Every day is technically Parent's Day for me. But I do plan on making some special gesture for Father's Day. I'll be baking an eggless cake for my father since he loves that, and I'll be buying him a present for the special day which I wanted to buy him for a really long time. He's a very well organised man, my father. It is apt to say that he has got his life together and that is something that has always inspired me. Me and my sister intend on planning a little something for him to make him feel special this Father's Day."

Manit Joura who plays the role of Rishab in Kundali Bhagya said, "Whatever I am today, the sole credit goes to whatever values my parents instilled in me, the time and memories they have given me and all the stories they have told me while growing up. All of that made a remarkable impact on me and played the biggest role in shaping the person I am today. I remember my father being the biggest fan of travelling. As a kid, I used to love spending my time in the lap of nature and my father facilitated that and how. Back in the day, my father owned a Maruti 800, and he used to start out early in the morning and he used to take me out to Panchkula, Dharamshala, Manali and other places around, considering the fact that we as a family spent a lot of time in Punjab. Most of my vacations, I've spent in Punjab at my grandfather's house. My father was my first hero and I love him for being the person he is and giving me so much love. He's a categorically handsome man who doubles to be my best friend. I always have a fantastic time when he's around"
