Actor Akash Jagga, who has made his foray into the television industry with Kasauti Zindagi Kay, and is currently seen as Gagan in Sasural Simar ka 2, spoke to India Forums about the equation he shares with his father as we celebrate Father's Day today. He spoke about his bond with him, reminisced some memories, and what do their conversations sound like.

On being asked about any special moments spent with his father, Akash says, "I get nostalgic while remembering the moments I have spent with my father. I vividly remember one specific incident. In 6th standard, my father was teaching me some science and I didn't feel like studying. He noticed that I was lost in my own thoughts and wasn't paying attention to what he was teaching me. He slapped me very lightly. That was the first time he had ever slapped me, although very lightly. I started crying after that. I was used to my mom slapping me but with my dad, it was very different. He felt so guilty that he apologized to me immediately. He had never slapped me since then."

He further added, "Now that I live away from my family because of work, it's not very often that I get to meet them. But now my father is with me in Mumbai right now. We had a good family road trip from Jaipur to Mumbai. My father and I share a very unique bond. I am closer to my mother but with my father, it's a little weird. My dad is an introvert so it's not that we converse about any topics very often, but whenever I need any guidance or help, he is the first person I talk with because I know he will always guide me in the right direction. He is my role model and I look upto him and his endless sacrifices he has made for me to become what I am today."

Lastly, he concluded by saying, "Although we don't share the much hyped father-son relationship where they are like best friends, but the love we have for each other is immeasurable."

Apart from the TV shows, he has also featured in two music videos.
