Fashion face off: Kareena Kapoor or Deepika Padukone, who is winning with their tulle gowns

Every year, international red carpet events mark a fashion trend to watch out for. While the recent past has been about voluminous princess silhouettes and naked gowns, this year, the fancy tulle frills attached to a gown are a red-carpet thing. And why just the carpet, it is safe to say that this style is ruling the glossies too. Our darling Bebo is giving us a glimpse of the same. 

Kareena Kapoor recently graced the cover of Vogue’s India addition and the pictures from her photo shoot are flooding everyone’s social media handles. Whether it be a heart shaped Paule Ka dress or a fluffy Giambattista Valli gown, Kareena nailed every look like the stunner she is. So, when we laid our eyes on Bebo’s blush pink fluffy gown, it gave us an instant deja vu. It brought back flashes of Deepika Padukone’s second red-carpet style pick at Cannes 2019. Kareena accessorized her ruffled gown with blush satin shoes and kept her beauty game simple. While Deepika on the other hand styled it with a pink headband and strappy sandals. Both the actresses were acing these elaborate tulle gowns like a pro.

Ruffles as an embellishment has been around for long, and just a glimpse at this style can instantly take one back to their first birthday dress. However, when this year Cannes rolled out it’s red carpet, in came all the divas with princess friendly, loofah inspired tulle attires and closer home Kareena Kapoor Khan inside the pages of a leading glossy.
