Fashion Face Off: Bipasha Basu vs. Disha Patani

Owing to the overwhelming presence of social media, celebrities on ramps and red carpets are now minutely examined by media critics. Repeating outfits is considered to be an eyesore, marring the images of the celebrities who sport them. On that note, whenever BollyCurry spots your favorite stars twinning in strikingly similar outfits, we tend to get little picky ourselves. Today on the radar we have Disha Patani and Bipasha Basu, both donning the same Shane and Peacock gown but on different occasions.

The next Bollywood beauty to have gone international, Disha Patani, is riding high these days owing to the success of her multiple endeavors. Be it her presence on different red carpets or her friendly dates with her Befikra co-star Tiger Shroff, the lady seems to always have her outfits spot on. Recently at the HT Most Stylish Awards 2017, where she won the award for "Fresh Face of the Year", Patani walked up the stage in a silver-sequined, shimmery gown created by the aforementioned designer duo. She teamed it up with Charles and Keith sandals along with priceless diamond jewelry from Gehna which consisted of a pair of suspended earrings and a sleek tennis bracelet. Sticking to minimal makeup and subtle pink lips, her hairdo comprised of a messy bun with a few loose ends framing her face, giving her a slightly angelic look.

 

At the long awaited fashion event which was Lakme Fashion Week 2017, newly wed Bipasha Basu graced the ramp of the designer duo in the very same dress as she brought the third day of the week to a sizzling end. Characterized by floor-length cape sleeves, starry embroidered patches on the shoulders and featuring a plunging neckline, the dress was considered to be one of the highlights of the week. Basu chose to finish her looks with hair tied in a high ponytail along with kohl-lined smoky eye, as well as dark berry colored lips. Wearing only her wedding ring, Basu looked very much like the diva that she is and carried the embellishments with utmost of ease.

 

To sum it all up, we concur that Basu owns this face off with her bold and chic style statement. While it can be said that Patani did not fall too far behind and certainly looked cute, we think her dress was simply not suited for the occasion and gave out major beauty pageant vibes.
