Farhad Samji opens up about replacing Sajid Khan in Housefull 4 post MeToo controversy!

The year 2018 will always be remembered for MeToo movement which gained a lot of momentum in B-town and many well-known personalities were accused of sexual harassment. And among all the cases, the one which shocked the whole B-town was the sexual assault allegations on director Sajid Khan.

Sajid was directing Housefull 4 at that time and in this crisis like situation the makers had to get him replaced with Farhad Samji. Recently in an interaction with us, when we asked Farhad about the pressure getting on board post the MeToo controversy, the director said it was just a bad situation which needed to be handled.

Farhad was quoted saying, "Replacing is a very strong word, it was a just a bad situation which needed to be handled so it's not about replacing or taking over. Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala are more like a family to me and as I was the writer of the film (Housefull 4) so I had the whole idea about the film including screenplay, characters, etc. So it was not like a big pressure on a creative basis but technically I had to put in a lot of efforts."

"And I already had great chemistry with all the actors so it was not a big task for me. It was a very good experience, we are enjoying every edit and right now we are working on the VFX" the director further added.

Meanwhile, director Farhad Samji is currently excited for his upcoming web series titled Boo...Ab Subki Phategi which stars Tusshar Kapoor, Sanjay Mishra, Mallika Sherawat, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek.
