The makers of Faraaz released its hard-hitting trailer today. The trailer gives a glimpse into the night when Dhaka stood still as a bunch of young terrorists massacred an upscale cafe by going on a murderous spree. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film marks the first collaboration between him and Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha and is all set to release in theaters on the 3rd of February 2023.

The over-two-minute-long trailer begins with a glimpse of customers enjoying their meals at the Holey Artisan cafe in Dhaka, Bangladesh on July 1, 2016. Actor Zahaan Kapoor, son of Kunal Kapoor and grandson of late actor Shashi Kapoor, also features in the trailer as he marks his debut 

A group of terrorists storm in and start shooting individuals at random as people are having a peaceful meal in the evening. Aditya Rawal, son of actor Paresh Rawal, appears in the trailer as one of the terrorists. As the Bangladesh Police plan how to free the captives from the militants' control.

While Producer Anubhav Sinha shares, “Faraaz is not just another film inspired by real-life events. It has so many cues that have a strong message to share. As filmmakers, we have the opportunity to share stories with the audience that are engaging and thought-provoking and Faraaz is a prime example of it.”

Director Hansal Mehta shared his thoughts on the release of the trailer, “The main reason that we decided to make a film like Faraaz is to talk about stories that surpass boundaries. The story of Faraaz is a prime example of how, when it comes to the fight against terrorism, it’s all of humanity on one side and terrorism on the other.” 

The film is directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Anubhav Sinha, Sakshi Bhatt, Sahil Saigal, and Mazahir Mandsaurwala. The film is jointly produced by T-Series and Benaras Media works in association with Mahana Films. The film stars Zahaan Kapoor, Aditya Rawal, Juhi Babbar, Aamir Ali, Sachin Lalwani, Pallak Lalwani, and Reshham Sahaani in the cast. Faraaz is all set to release on February 3rd, 2023.

Exploiting the tragedy and grievances of another nation for cash is downright disgusting. Nothing more to expect from shameless Indians. I hope this film fails miserably! Shame on Hansal Mehta and everyone else who worked on this movie!
