In 2016, news about actress Sayali Bhagat accusing Megastar Amitabh Bachchan of sexual misconduct went viral. However, soon after the news story was out in the media, Sayali had cleared the air and stated that it was done by her ex-publicist.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Bhaskar in July 2016,
Sayali revealed, "It was really an embarrassment for me, I personally touched base with Mr. Bachchan and apologised to him. I also made him understand that it was all done by my ex-publicist, without my knowledge and against whom I have already filed a complaint."
However, now, since the #MeToo campaign is going on in full force in the B-town and many big names have been alleged of sexual harassment, this case has been brought up to the forefront again.
Last night, a tweet about Sayali revealing her #MeToo story went viral. In the post, apart from actor Shiney Ahuja, Amitabh Bachchan's name too was being dragged and a fake story around him was being circulated.
This post came out as a shocker for the Netizens who in turn started tagging Big B in the post asking him for clarification. Since the story has no truth to it, there was no revert from Big B's end. However, we contacted Sayali Bhagat to find out the truth.
When contacted Sayali Bhagat, she said: "I m not a victim of sexual harassment...I have been a victim of cyber crime...false press note floated by trolls in the past claiming it's my statement...however these are false statements...and definitely not mine or official. IN THE PAST THESE NEWS ITEMS WERE CIRCULATED BY TROLLS CLAIMING TO BE MY PR.please do not run this news...the mumbai high Court has had passed a judgement in my favour...confirming a case of mischief and cyber crime in 2011...
