#EXCLUSIVE: Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke Writers Allege Shaheer Sheikh of 'lifting' Words; He Refutes!
His word v/s Theirs...

Shaheer Sheikh is one of the leading names of small screen. The actor has been bagging accolades one after the other. Post Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, Shaheer who has given hit shows one after the other made a comeback on small screen with Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. The show opened with great numbers and raked in TRPs like never before. Though the show is bagging more attention, but Shaheer has landed up in a trouble for a different reason.
It all started when the writers of Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke bashed the actor for claiming to write poetry for his character Abir. The writer duo, Divy Nishi Sharma and Aparajita Sharma who have been part of Shaheer's last project Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali and other projects like Ishqbaaaz and others wrote, "NO, YOU DIDN'T, MR. SHAHEER SHEIKH. My name is Divy Nidhi Sharma, my wife, Aparajita Sharma and I are a writing duo. We write dialogues for several Televisions shows, currently on air are Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, Nazar, Aladdin and Yeh rishtey Hain Pyar Ke.
We have worked on Mr Sheikh's previous two shows as dialogue writers too, Kuch Rang Pyaar ke Aise Bhi and Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali. Since I am a poet, most of the shows I am involved with the characters reciting my poetry, be it Zoya from Qubool Hai, Sahir from Humsafars, Sahir from Tanhaiyaan, Arnab from IPPK3, Omkara from Ishqbaaaz, Sikander Singh from Kullfi, Shehzade Salim from Daastan-E-Mohabbat and now Abir from Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.
Although we started writing dialogues for YRHPK from script episode 5, the creatives wanted to have poignant moments underlined through poetry in the initial episodes as well. So I wrote some pieces for initial four episodes, which Mr Sheikh claimed in an interview as his work.
In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter at all, neither to the star, nor to his fandom, but it matters to the poet. No one writes poetry for money, we write it because we have something to say, we write it because we enjoy the process and because we hope, maybe, just maybe, out of the millions who watch the show, one will say - "Wow! Who wrote that!"
Writers have always been under appreciated in our industry, all we have is our art and admiration of the tiniest percentage of viewers who can look beyond people on screen. And now, thanks to you, I don't even have that. I have written poetry for so many characters and so many wonderful starts like Surbhi Jyoti, Nakuul Mehta, Barun Sobti, Kunal Jaisingh, Mohit Mallik, Surbhi Chandna, Sisharth Nigam and many more...all of them have been professional and gracious enough to always acknowledge the presence of a writer. You are the only one who has tried to put his name over my work.
Despite working on three shows, I have never met you Mr. Sheikh (yes, these things happen in Television). You are a great actor, a star and you might even be a far better poet than I am, but you are NOT, is the person who wrote the poetry for Dastan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali or Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar ke...

Shaheer gave a clarification on a number of tweets where he mentioned that he is extremely sorry for the entire situation. We also reached out to the actor to know what is the entire thing.
He revealed, "The writers came on board after five episodes. When I was shooting for my initial episodes, we were shooting outdoors. And the script had not arrived during the time. As I used to write and share shayris, I made an impropmtu thing at that point.
I shared this incident with one of the PR girls during the press conference which was way long back. When the writers came on-board they were asked to write shayris for the previous episodes also.
During that time if one follows the episode that person would see that there is no lip sync between my dialogues and the shayri. So there were put on much later than the shoot. That's my entire point. I never claimed that I wrote anything for the show. Its a misunderstanding that has happened and I just wish they understand it and things get cleared. I am really sorry that I hurt their emotions but I never claimed anything. It just happened impromptu."

Well, Gul Khan has also shared the message of the writers and infact showed her support to them. In a post she wrote, "Wouldn't it be great if writers were covered as much as actors! All media people hope are listening! @divy01012"[sic]
Another writer, Sharad Chandra Tripathi has come out in support of the writer. He shared Divy's post and wrote, "Very well said.. Divy Sharma bhai... !!"[sic]

This Gul Khan's friend Divy Nidhi Sharma (whom Gul has been supporting on her insta story on this issue since yesterday) NEVER wrote any lines for iconic Arnav of original IPKKND ! Yet Divy stated here in his post which he shared on his Facebook & twitter & Instagram (Insta story) that he wrote dialogues for "ARNAB" in "IPPK3"! He spelt names of the character & show wrongly & there was NO ARNAV in IPK3. He only wrote for a flop character Advay of super flop IPK3! Divy did NOT even write for IPKKND Ek Jashn (web series on Hotstar in 2015) or IPKKND REWIND too which followed - in IPKKND EK JASHN the dialogues for Arnav & Khushi were written by other writers. For IPKKND REWIND too someone else had written the dialogues for Arnav! This Mr. Divy was in no way involved with anything related to Arnav at all! Divy joined the Gul stable only during Qubool Hai ! Not before that! Is this Divy ashamed of owning up character of the flop Advay? What's IPPK3? I thought it was IPKKND3 lol! The person who doesn't even remember the name of the character for whom he wrote dislogues is defaming an actor? What a Joke! So after humiliating & threatening other actors in public, now Divy's friend Gul Khan is using Divy to target Shaheer Sheikh? That too for what a web portal wrote? The media or web portal can always misquote or misrepresent what the actors say & Divy should have cleared the misunderstanding with the actor or the media instead of writing such a long note to deliberately target this actor whose show has currently replaced Gul's show in the 10 pm slot on Star Plus! She is the one who loves to steal credit from the actors who deserves it most n now bullying others lmao! I can never like her off screen! @Jonerys , I want to believe that Gul might be behind this controversy, knowing the kind of person she is! Plus her own show which had the same time slot could not sustain due to low TRPs..she must be fuming inside hence taking her badla lmao! So all his post is based on some media post.so all that on media should be believed without confirming from the concerned person?? Is he a kid or what? Media has this kind of attitude to clearly twist any statement of any1 to create rift so that they can earn their daily dose of enjoyment by degrading others this is the know to all still the great poet who worked with him earlier for a couple of shows is showing guns against the actor on the basis of i never met him funny isn't it? And what is it with him if not for attention? Why taging other actors who had nothing to do with comments of shaheer or even the poet himself? Plz gul is not even the last person to talk about the credit of hardwork she should refrain herself from jumping into things like credit hardwork as she is the bestest 1 in the industry to discredit her female leads hardwork Male chauvinist she is. it was a misunderstanding. It's neither the writers fault nor Shaheer's Shaheer apologized and that's where it ends. I understand how it feels when someone steals your hardwork/ideas/imaginations , sudden outbursts are expected , i don't believe it was for fame. But just a series of misunderstandings. Gul could have restrained herself from posting this though !

Its OK. He has apologized. The show can survive without shayaris.. But can't without SS successfully. He is the magnet that is attracting most of the viewers. Let them replace the writers and nobody will know the difference.

It was clear case of misunderstanding but the way the writer handled the whole thing ishows he was just looking for 2 min fame .If his intention was to clarify he would have done that decently not tag other actors who are no way related to this incident in his tweet .I guess his work did not bring him fame so using this opportunity to gain some fame . Haters got an opportunity to defame ShaheerSheikh but sensible people will know who is what

Shameless actor trying to get credit of something he never did. his fool fans are still believing him. His all justification is extremely foolish and cooked up. He clearly said he wrote shayaris for initial episodes.
