Yesterday, we reported about Zindagi channel getting revamped and banning Pakistani shows to present NEW shows. The news came in as a major shock as one of the most popular shows, 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' starring Fawad Khan was also axed by the channel.

However, amidst all of this, we also reported the list and concepts of the new shows that were launched. One of them was 'Khwaabon Ki Zamin Par' which tells us about the story of a young guy, who has a girlfriend and is living a happy life. However, circumstances change when he decides to leave his family and girlfriend to come to Mumbai to pursue his ambition.

And now, we exclusively report about the actor who is slated to play the NEGATIVE lead in the show...

Yes, actor Parichay Sharma, who is best known for his performances in huge shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Begu Sarai' will be seen playing the negative lead in the show, Ranveer Dutt.

In a conversation with Parichay, he mentioned, "I decided to take up this show purely because it satisfies my quenching thrist as an actor. Many people told me about why I am choosing Zindagi channel over other popular GECs (General Entertainment Channel! As much as I understand the kind of limitations it has, I get to play a character like never before. Hence, I signed for this show."

About the character,he said, "The character will have a lot of grey shades, where he will be a drug addict. And my track will begin with a flashback where it will be shown how, being a drug addict, he will be going to a rehabilitation centre. And the actual entry begins when this character will be back from the rehab where it is assumed that he is gotten better. However, with time passing by, it will be shown that he hasn't changed and still is the vicious guy he was. Beating up his girlfriend and getting thrown out of his father's house are a common phenomenon. Basically, he does things, anyone should never do."

On being asked about choosing a lesser known channel like Zindagi over the big guns, he said, "I understand this concern where I recently said no to a couple of ventures. However, with time passing by and the number of shows I have done, it is important to mature and grow as an actor. Not everything is about money and this role gives me the creative satisfaction as an actor."
