The wait to the most awaited couple dance reality show will be ending soon as we are just a week away from the launch of 'Nach Baliye 8.'

However, the shoot of the show began yesterday in full swing and let's just say, it was nothing short of a spectacle. Here is all you need to know about the opening episode of 'Nach Baliye 8.'

The Hosts and The Gags

Actor Karan Tacker hosts 'Nach Baliye 8' with actress-comedienne, Upasana Singh. Karan, doing what he does the best, helmed the episode in a classic manner, but Upasana Singh was missing. There is no worry as Upasana was cryptically present through Karan's frequent 'Maa Ka Phone' calls.

The Couples will be Performing on...

As it was only the opening episode, not all couples performed right away. 5 out of 10 couples performed on some amazing songs.

Sanam Johar and Abigail Pandey performed on the chartbuster song, 'Humma Humma' from the film, 'Ok Jaanu.'

Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa performed on the current sensation, 'Tamma Tamma' from the film, 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania'.

Pritam Singh and Amanjot Singh performed on the romantic number, 'Zaalima' from the film, 'Raees.'

Aashka Goradia and Brent Goble performed on the feisty song, 'Bloody Hell' from the film, 'Rangoon.'

Finally, Vivek Dahiya and Divyanka Tripathi performed on one of the most popular and romantic songs, 'Gerua' from the film, 'Dilwale.'

The New Twist in the scoring format

As it was the opening episode, there was no scoring per se. However, there is a special 'Dil Dhadakne Do' Meter this time, where the judges can press the button to the meter if they find a performance to be extra-ordinary. As soon as the Dil Dhadakne Do gets active, it will bombard the respective couple with confetti.

If there was one thing that Monalisa was infamous for in 'Bigg Boss Season 10', it was her being a cry-baby. And not that we were surprised, but Monalisa broke into tears on 'Nach Baliye 8' too getting overwhelmed by the feeling of being on the stage.
