Ellen DeGeneres Opens up About Sexual Assault by Her Stepfather as a Teenager!

Ellen De Generes is immensely popular for her talk show and being a devout advocate for LGBT rights. Ellen recently made a revelation during her appearance on the second season of Netflix’s show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman and revealed how she had been sexually assaulted by her stepfather when she was a teenager.

Ellen told how her mother, Betty DeGeneres married him and later suffered from breast cancer. Owing to that, she had to get one of her breasts removed. Ellen rued that how her stepfather used her mother's illness as an excuse to sexually assault her. She later on went on say that her stepfather was indeed a 'very bad man".

According to Entertainment Tonight, she told David on the show, “He told me when she was out of town that he’d felt a lump in her breast and needed to feel my breasts because he didn’t want to upset her, but he needed to feel mine.” Talking about how often he did it, she added,“He convinced me that he needs to feel my breasts and then he tries to do it again another time, and then another time.”Ellen even talked about the time she had to flee out of the window because her stepfather used to enter her room. 

Ellen even recollected that she was too weak to tell anybody about that and hence she did not tell her mother about it for a long time. But when she told her mother, it was too late and her mother did not believe it. Eventually her mother left that man after eighteen years of that incident. Since then, Ellen has been taking care of her.
